
Breakfast
We make our own sausages for both meat-eaters and vegetarians alike, cure our own bacon, as well as making Rectory Baked Beans, Black Pudding, Hash Browns & so much more. Our kippers and smoked salmon are smoked in our in-house smokery. Served over two courses and accompanied by Rectory Toast which paired with our multi-award winning Marmalade.
We are so pleased to be able to extend our offering to everybody; guests, locals and visitors alike. The Old Rectory team invites you to join us for breakfast. We serve every day from 8.30 am to 10 am. Due to limited space booking is essential and we ask that you call ahead to let us know you’d like to join us. We’ll do our best to host you.
Breakfast is included in our room prices for all guests. For those visiting us just for breakfast is £17.50 per person.
Breakfast Menu
The Old Rectory pork and vegetarian sausages are homemade and our bacon is cured in-house.
Our smoked products come from our on-site Garden Smokery.
The preserves you enjoy with our speciality bread are prepared on the premises, including our award-winning marmalade.
To Start:
- Mixed fresh fruit, apple juice & oat milk smoothie
- The Old Rectory muesli with milk or yoghurt & honey or agave nectar
- Greek yoghurt, prunes & seeds
- Overnight oats, fresh fruit, honey or agave nectar & chia seeds
- Fresh fruit salad
To Follow:
- The Old Rectory home-cured bacon, homemade sausage, black pudding, hash brown & baked beans, served with sauté mushrooms & fried egg
- Rarebit glazed cheese scone, flaked smoked haddock, buttered spinach, frilly fried egg
- Homemade vegetable patty, The Old Rectory hash brown, baked beans & avocado smash, served with sauté mushroom, grilled halloumi & fried egg
- Rich, creamed scrambled eggs with flaked Old Rectory hot smoked salmon
- Home smoked herring kipper, freshly grated horseradish & a knob of salted butter
- Slow cooked smoked bacon, potato & prune hash with caraway seed fried slice, fried egg
- Devilled lamb’s kidneys, traditionally seasoned with mustard, cayenne, Worcestershire sauce & a touch of anchovy, served on thick sliced toast
- Home cured bacon buttie with The Old Rectory brown sauce
- Smashed avocado & poached eggs on toasted sourdough

Many of our dishes can be made to suit a vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free diet.
